Download Skype for Windows I prefer the desktop version personally. Our new color gradients feature higher contrast, improved visibility and now give you the ability to control whether the color accents affect your message bubble or the bubbles of the people you're messaging with. 2 You could uninstall the Windows 8 app (right click on the start screen select Uninstall) and download the desktop version if you prefer.
